Keralites
are Popularly called as " Malayalees" . They are considered as well educated
and mature society. The local language they speak is " Malayalam". Kerala
means the
land of ' Kera' = Coconut. Any one can see coconut trees anywhere in Kerala
in abundance.

The women mostly dress themselves in silk/cotton ' sarees' which is 5 meters long with matching blouse. The traditional Kerala Saree with golden ' Kasavu' is really beautiful.

The men mostly attired to trousers and shirts. The traditional dress of a typical Kerala man is ' Mundu' at home - dhoti and shirt.
Religion:
The Hindus account for nearly 58% of the population. The rest of the 42% is almost equally divided between the Christians and the Muslims.

Kerala is basically an agricultural state . Working hours for the daily wagers are from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs. Office timings are from 1000 hrs - 1700 hrs.
